The #1 Habit You Need To Focus On Leading into 2025 To MAXIMIZE Your Life Experience
Still boggles my mind why it's still not being prioritized yet.
When you think you have the entire puzzle solved - there's this one last thing remaining to solve.
Anyone that courageously accepts the call to adventure will gain a compounding amount of unique life experiences that will shape the individual in ways beyond their wildest imagination. This transformation becomes unrecognizable if the two somehow met. Naively the younger version believes that everything is resolved once the self-actualization process is complete, but damn is that right, the journey has only just begun.
There's one key component being left out of the equation of life - it is so overrated to the point it's perceived as valuable later in life.
You will absolutely want to develop this indispensable skill to maximize your life experience.
In fact, it becomes an essential tool that will allow you to reach your highest potential. Those not willing to prioritize this are draining their most valuable resource in record speed. There has never been a greater time in history to learn this with the emerging landscape ahead.
Let's jump straight into it…
WHERE’S THE SENSE OF URGENCY
Every single human being has experienced the negative side effects of procrastination.
Remember those times in school?
Pushing the responsibilities of completing an important assignment - until the very last min - causing you unnecessary stress that could've been prevented with better planning.
Instead you stay up late trying to squeeze everything in at the last minute.
With only a few hours of sleep, you wake up extra early to a groggy mind trying to complete the project before school starts.
You see.
You and I will inevitably wish we had more time when we're there laying on our death bed [if we're lucky enough to make it there in one peace of course].
Reflecting on all those moments - thinking "I wish I would've" - and imagining all the possible scenarios.
Time is so finite.
In a blink of an eye, life can change so drastically or come to an abrupt end.
How many lives changed when they decided to drive drunk and forced to face the consequences of those actions?
What about those lives that did not calculate the life threaten risks?
It is no doubt, if you do not handle life with care:
You will experience how fragile it can suddenly shatter [then be reduced to specs of dust] as the world moves on without acknowledging your existence.
Billions today are haunted by procrastination, but when it happens, it appears to be completely invisible by the untrained eyes and unconscious minds.
You are incentivized to procrastinate through the means of distractions.
You know what's scary?
These distractions can be disguised as completely rational and valid excuses.
That ten minute work break went from checking instagram for a few minutes to being completely hooked by a piece of content that reeled you into exploring scientifically designed websites that quite literally took hours of your time and completely disrupted the plans you made for the day.
What would a life outcome look like if this continued, day after day, years on end?
REAL BEHAVIOR CHANGE
Self-actualization is stupid simple.
You align your actions [to the ideal self] then allow time to do it's natural progression.
Diverging from those ideal actions, consistently over an extended period of time, only delay the accomplishment of those desired life outcomes.
The challenge ultimately comes down to changing your ingrained behavior [accumulation of every day habits] to change the trajectory of your future experiences.
Look.
Continuing down this path of bad habits - move you in the opposite direction of your ideal self and desired life outcome.
“What matters is whether your habits are putting you on the path toward success.”
Besides doing the actual work itself, the hardest part of solving all your life problems lies in identifying the nuances of your situation.
After you've made your self-detrimental blind spots conscious… only then do you know exactly what to do with your time.
Let's not forget the contradictory advice out there and your lack of life experience to understand the nuances revealed in the many shades of grey.
From there you simply close the gap by relentlessly executing on that personalized knowledge - until the actualized self and the results - appear in your reality.
You see.
The execution portion of the equation becomes a tricky problem to deal with [due to the never ending amount of distractions we face every day].
As you already know:
Distractions steal your energetic life force and irreplaceable time, that's time and energy that could've been invested into actions aligned to your ideal self who has your most desired life outcomes in the future.
So if you know all of this already…
What exactly is it that is stopping you?
THE LAST AND FINAL SELF-HELP TOOL
Optimized behavior change is the real shortcut to life.
If you're making progress towards your goal - wouldn't it make perfect logical sense to maximize your output to produce your desired life experiences faster?
This is where this one essential skillset comes into play:
Time Management
It's been around for centuries and yet it is not being prioritized as a mandatory skillset.
The type of skill you strive to reach perfection.
If time is your most value asset then why aren't you optimizing your schedule to be as productive as humanly possible within the areas you value most.
Look.
I tracked my behavior for over a year.
I've done many "weird" experiments, but this habit was the most eye opening I've ever done in my entire life.
It gives you a 'birds eye' perspective not only into your unconscious behaviors, but provides tremendous insight about who you actually are, not who you think or say who you are.
If you haven't realized yet.
People rarely have their thoughts, words and actions perfectly aligned.
There is always a deviation between the three and the majority of the time it is completely unconscious.
Tracking your time gives you objective feedback into your behavior so you can course correct until that what you seek is actualized.
Can't find time to listen to that audiobook you've always want to learn from?
You will realize you have a slot available for it during your commute.
Feeling down and can't figure out why?
Looking back at your schedule will reveal to you - the happiest moments were those time invested into meaningful relationships - only then will you realize that it's been weeks since your last catch up.
Maybe you feel so restless to the point your brain isn't operating at it's fullest capacity like it use to - what's wrong here?
Analyzing your calendar it becomes clear that your mind and body hasn't gotten the full rest it needs so you decide to sleep in one morning to start the week strong.
You see.
The past becomes a complete blur when you are so caught up in the moment as life continues to unfold in front of you.
Simply documenting how you invest your time will reveal so many nuances - who you actually are and what it is you exactly need - so you can truly live life to the absolute fullest.
CONTROLLED AGAINST YOUR WILL
Distractions steal your time.
That's time you will never ever get back - no matter how hard you try - even if you had all the money in the world.
I triple dog dare you to see how much time you've wasted scrolling instagram on a day to day average. Multiple that number by 365 - whatever that number is think of all the things you could've done…
Feel like you don't have enough time? Easy. Stop wasting your time.
One of the most practical tips I can provide you is this:
Turn off your notifications immediately.
Do not allow other individuals to dictate how you invest your time.
Notifications force you to react and be distracted by what you were focused on.
Simply eliminating notification provides your life with tremendously benefits.
One being you can actually remain focus so you can reach the depths where tangible progress can be made.
Distractions in the forms of notifications cause further procrastination delaying the actions required to produce your most desired life experiences.
You will realize the "work" you've been doing has only been scanning the surface layer between your so called "multitasking" causing you to feel frustrated with the lack of progress.
Remember that utilizing a schedule to manage your time prevents you from wasting your most valuable asset.
Anything that is not aligned with your values and most desired outcomes should immediately be discarded.
Time has it's natural progression.
Adopting the habit of schedule your time will give you tangible feedback into your behavior to help you strategize better to not only increase your productivity, but maximize your life experiences.
See ya on the mats,
